Continental is currently offering a $68 RT between AUS and IAH/EFD with only a 3-day advance purchase restriction and no minimum stay.

I'm doing a AUS-IAH-EFD-IAH-AUS run next weekend to secure Platinum Elite for 2002.

Works great. Pulled it off yesterday and took pictures of the whole event. With the Continental double miles promotion, this run is worth 4000 Elite miles (plus elite bonus miles), which comes out to about $0.017/mile, and 4 segments.

Just recently completed this run. It was good, minus a few hang-ups.

First off I hate prop-planes.
Second there was a slight security (in actuality a late flight attendant) delay.
Third Ellington was a slight disappointment. I was hoping it would be smaller.

I will have to say that the only good-looking flight attendant that I have seen on a Continental flight was on the AUS-IAH segment.

It wasn’t bad for 4000+ miles for around seventy dollars.
