December 22nd, AUS-PWK (Austin, TX - Skokie, IL)

A long trip, one segment, 18 hours of flying... Our plane only does 70mph.

After being queued after a delayed take-off from another plane heading to Indianapolis, our plane finally took off at 6am. Me (Leto) in 1C, Decibel in 1A.

The first part went smoothly, and we avoided heavy traffic by flying around DFW. In Oklahoma, however, turbulence struck, and since the rudders on our plane had quite a lot of play, our pilot had a hard time keeping the plane going straight. In Missouri we had tailwind, and the rudders responded much better. Still, this Chevy Airline plane definately has to go back in for service.

Other than that, the flight was very smooth and we landed in Skokie, IL at around midnight local time, were we were welcomed by very friendly ground personel.

Good report. Be sure to tell the captain and first officer to drive safely on the return.
