Find out if you could do a better job running an airline.

I'm sure that I'm not the only person that has felt that he could do a better job running an airline than those that are currently running them. Short of replacing a CEO, there's one way to find out: play the game Airline Tycoon.

The cartoon-like graphics may be misleading -- this is not a trivial game. You have to manage hiring, salaries, maintenance, aircraft purchases, advertising, routes, aircraft interior, etc.

Most people said that the game is too hard, although I managed to win the first campaign in one attempt, although I probably took it more seriously than most do.

The only downside is that there are no frequent flier programs in the game.

There's a very restricted demo that you can download to get an idea of what it's all about.

For what it's worth, this is a different game from Airport Tycoon which is apparently pretty simple and I haven't heard many good things about.

Give it a shot and post your thoughts. Once other ITYTers have the game, we can start playing network games and have competiting airlines.

Cheers.

Daniel

I downloaded the demo. Pretty fun. Is the full version in English? The demo is half English, half German.

Is it's all in English, I'll be buying this game.
