Getting a Grip on Lost Luggage

Getting a Grip on Lost Luggage

Quote:
Ever wondered what happened to the golf clubs that went missing on that flight to Florida or the leather jacket you left behind on the plane last Thanksgiving?

It's more than likely that both ended up for sale in the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama.

The allure of potential bargains draws approximately 800,000 people each year into the store, making it one of Alabama's biggest tourist attractions.

Whenever the airline gives up on finding the rightful owner, they sell the bag to this place for a fixed price without either side knowing the contents. Sometimes it's worth nothing and sometimes, thousands.

Dateline NBC has shown this place many, many times.
