Cash Rebate Visa/Mastercard?

I have Citi Dividend earns 1 Full % regardless how much you spend. Wifey has Fleet Cash Dividend 2% rebate if we spend more than 8k/year and carry a balance.

Which one do you all think is the best out there?

I recently applied for AMEX 5% Cash Rebate..

Dunno about cash rebate cards, but for travel perks cards...

For frequent travellers, the best bet in the Visa/MC category looks to be the MBNA Quantum card. They say it's invitation-only, but it can't hurt to ask. I tried for one a year ago or so but got shipped their regular Platinum Plus product instead which is an entirely forgettable card.

I carry the MC only as a backup for circumstances when I cannot use my Amex. The Amex Plat and Optima cards are my primary vehicles which carry ~90% of my travel spending. The service is just way too good.

I hope the AMEX Platinum Cash Rebate card that i got will offer the same excellent service that your card is giving you...though it might not happen since you are paying an Annual Fee?

I know several people who have the AmEx Cash Rebate card and have no complaints. Only service problem that I've heard of is a dispute about the car rental insurance (a complaint filed right around the date that AmEx dropped rental insurance on that card).

Keep in mind that the Optima Platinum doesn't have an annual fee, either. The Platinum card does, though.

Thanks dbaker!

Not sure if the Cash Rebate Amex card i got is Optima Platinum or not, i'll know in a next few days.

If i keep talking about AMEX, it might trigger you to move the thread!

I have the CitiBank PremierPass Elite level card... it's a $75 a year fee, but the points can go to pretty much anything you want (including cash), tickets on any airline, no blackout, etc etc. I haven't used the points yet, but I literally put everything humanly possible on it, and gas/grocery/drugstore gets double points (otherwise it's point-for-dollar). It also adds the miles flown of ANYONE who buys a ticket on the card, not just a card holder, and those miles count toward whatever frequent flier program you have as well. It also has a ton of other perks, like a concierge service, etc. -- so far I've been very, very happy with it, and customer service has been excellent.

I'm hoping to get tickets to Australia on it in a year or two, and if I can get those tickets for spending $150 over the course of 2 years -- sounds good to me!
