Membership Rewards Statement

After many years of being a member of American Express Membership Rewards, I received my first statement today. I've always just checked my balance online, but this new statement was comprehensive and covered March 1 - March 31, regardless of the billing cycle of any specific card.

Is this new? The only motive that I could suggest was additional advertising for the program; the statement came with a page or two full of AmEx MR promotions.
