Downgraded to Gold.

I have been downgraded to Gold from Platinum.

I wonder if i still have the same benefits

I'm curious -- were the benefits really all that noticeable even as a Platinum? I've always been extremely skeptical that hotel loyalty programs actually accomplished much.

I don't think I've ever gotten anything more than a smile and the mention that "I see you're HHonors Gold, we'll make sure to get your miles posted" with my Hilton membership. Same goes for Starwood Gold.

I just get a smile when i present my HH diamond and MR Plat cards...they usually say" I have that in the system already, thank you!"

Late check-out is generally one of the advertised perks of being an Elite member of a hotel program, although I've always been able to negotiate that just as a regular customer with a simple phone call to the front desk.

As a Swiss Club Gold (Swissotel) member, I've actually seen gifts waiting in my upgraded (high level, corner) room. That said, I don't really care too much about either. I sweat it over a F upgrade, though.
