SHANGHAI, June 1 (Reuters) - Star Alliance, the world's biggest airline network, said on Saturday it would add South Korea's Asiana Airlines (KOSDAQ:20560.KQ - News), troubled Polish airline PLL LOT, and Spain's Spanair as members within the next year.
The 14-member group said it still hoped to expand into the untapped China market, and find a replacement for Australia's Ansett Airlines, which left a hole in the alliance's southern hemisphere network when it collapsed earlier this year.
