Has anyone ever been able to keep the baggage tags on their bags for more than one or two trips before they get ripped off by baggage handlers or overhead bins? My bags now have a clutter of little leather straps from where my exec club tags used to be.
The problem seems to be that the card is very hard, firmer than a credit card, so it doesn't bend well and is seemingly broken in half (or at least the connector part is) with any amount of crunch.
The continental "priority handling" tags are extremely flexible and can withstand just about anything. I can generally make it an entire year without losing those.
I've just about given up on keeping BA tags on my bags.
