Continental Airlines Launches Fare Sale for New Houston-Amsterdam Nonstop Service

HOUSTON, March 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL - news) today launched a fare sale on its daily, nonstop Boeing 767 service to Amsterdam from Houston, scheduled to begin May 1, 2002. Tickets purchased on continental.com receive an additional 10-percent discount.

I was quoted $626 ($576 plus tax) for AUS-AMS round-trip in mid-May booked entirely in B class except the last IAH-AUS segment in V. Some tewaking can probably drop it down another hundred, but it's reasonable.

Gee it would be nice if CO offered special BF rates for some of their new routes like NW does! :lol:

Have you had success upgarding HKY recently such that you'd be willing to try it again?

I doubt that the H/K/Y fares are on sale or are any better priced that comparable european destinations.

I'm not expecting some deeply-discounted H or K fares but this is a route I'm considering flying so my curiosity was piqued.

Not sure if I've just been lucky, but my HoKeY success rate is at 100%-- although now that I've said that, I'm more than a little concerned about my upcoming trips to AMS/VIE in May and LGW in July!!
