I will exceed 50K miles on my outbound leg of the flight to SAN. Can I count on being recognized as gold on my return flight 4 days later? Do you know if the sytem recognizes those status changes right away? My return flight is pretty full (middle seats only) with FC fairly open A9D8F0. Being gold would increase my chances a little. Help! This is a red-eye flight!

Because your reservation has you recorded as a Silver, it will be necessary to tell them you have reached Gold otherwise you will receive credit for Silver only.
