Delta Air Lines Streamlines 800-Mile Segment Upgrades Online

ATLANTA, June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - News) today enhanced its online 800-Mile Segment Upgrade option for Medallion-level SkyMiles members. Medallion members, Delta's most frequent customers, now can log in at delta.com and check upgrade availability prior to booking a flight. In the same transaction, members also can confirm the upgrade*, select a seat and purchase a ticket.

"The opportunity to view upgrade availability before booking a flight is a tremendous benefit that offers our customers more choices."

Additionally, the online 800-Mile Segment Upgrade option allows customers to upgrade existing reservations or be placed on the waitlist if their confirmed flight is sold out in the requested upgrade class of service. They also may review waitlist status and the number of points required to upgrade each flight segment.
