DELTA AIRLINES UPDATE!

Today I had the oppountunity to look at a few of the things Delta Management is looking at doing in terms of restructuring. They are as follows:
1. Song is going "away".
2. An additional $1 billion dollars in costs will be eliminated (non-labor)
3. DFW hub is being scaled back (I think we all knew that was coming)
4. Renogitiate lease terms on the 350 or so leased aircraft.
5. Fly more point-to-point and be more efficient in terms of fleet usage (Learned from Song)
6. Configure a lot of the domestic aircraft like Song and use them on leisure routes and on (all*) flights out of Salt Lake City.
(*"all" is my guess...it just said "out of SLC")
7. Use the current Delta configured planes on heavily traveled business routes.
8. International flights will remain unchanged in terms of service and aircraft configuration.

WHAT'S REALLY GONNA HAPPEN...
1. Song is going to expand....more than double in size
2. An additional $1 billion dollars in costs will be eliminated (labor)
3. DFW hub is gone!
< dont know about this one yet

7. Use the current Delta configured planes on heavily traveled business routes. < dont know about this one yet
8. International flights will remain unchanged in terms of service and aircraft configuration.
