Delta to Install 300 More Self-Service Kiosks for Check-Ins

ATLANTA -- Delta Air Lines Inc., responding to post- Sept. 11 airport delays, said it plans to add 300 self-service check-in kiosks at airports throughout the country this year.
The announced confirmed a report in The Wall Street Journal, which said Delta will spend about $5 million to more than triple the number of kiosks available to its passengers.

NW and CO is way ahead on this, but do ticket agents fear for the jobs as a result of these installations and the airline's push to use them? I believe that Continental's annual report said that 41% of eligible passengers checked in with e>service machines in 2001.
