The Y-fare thing looks good, but is the BusinessElite thing really new?

Delta SkyMiles(R) Program Offers Class of Service Mileage Bonuses

Members will receive a Class of Service bonus equal to 50 percent of their actual miles flown for paid worldwide Business/BusinessElite travel from Nov. 1 through March 31, 2002. The Class of Service bonus applies to fares booked in J, C or D classes.

In addition, members purchasing a full-fare Coach/Economy Y/Y06 class ticket on any worldwide Delta, Delta Shuttle or Delta Connection flight and traveling between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, 2001, will earn a 25 percent Class of Service bonus. Typically, Y class tickets are bought by business travelers flying on short notice and do not receive Class of Service bonuses.
