United Airlines revamps flying schedules

CHICAGO, Oct 15 (Reuters) - UAL Corp.'s (NYSE:UAL - news) United Airlines said on Monday it is reworking its flight schedule, in line with previously announced plans, in such a way that most domestic flights will take place during daytime hours.


``As previously announced, we're changing our schedule,'' said spokesman Andy Plews. ``When you reduce your schedule by 20 percent, you're clearly not going to cut out the 5 o'clock Chicago-to-Denver.'' Instead, Plews said, the airline has been focusing on later flights, such as ones originating at 11 p.m., between less well-traveled city pairs.
