United Woos Fliers With Ad Campaign, Expanded Schedule

United Woos Fliers With Ad Campaign, Expanded Schedule

Quote:
CHICAGO -- Now that it has won labor peace with its mechanics, UAL Corp. (NYSE: UAL - news) 's United Airlines is trying to woo back business travelers with a big expansion of its summer schedule out of Chicago , its largest hub, and a new advertising campaign, Wednesday's Wall Street Journal reported.

The nation's second-largest airline said that on June 7 it will increase the number of daily flights from O'Hare International Airport to 614 from 537. The higher number will be five fewer than the number of daily departures United and its commuter affiliates offered from Chicago before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks forced airlines to curtail capacity.
