This guest ranch is only 60 miles from the Arizonaborder in northeast Sonora, Mexico so I thought for anyone visiting Arizona or Northern Mexico this might be worthwhile. This is one of the most scenic spots I have seen in the desert southwest. And there is so much to do and see, and it is definately not a dude ranch or tourist trap. I was one of only four guests, and they like keeping the numbers low.
I had a great time kayaking down the Bavispe River, touring Lake Angostura, hiking some breathtaking canyons and simply enjoying this 30,000 acre guest ranch. The jeep tours through wild country were great. The wild of this land is amazing and it really does feel like you travel back hundreds of years in time.
I tell you, check it out if you want pristine and remote nature. The hospitality was very, very good, as was the food. Anyway, it is definately worth the time to check out their site. The family running this ranch is very friendly and helpful and they speak great English. This is an outdoors enthusiasts hotspot and I highly recommend it.
