Planning a overseas trip

I am going to have a one-month vacation and I’d like to take this chance to have a good rest, always working in the office, working overtime, sleeping until midnight, really tired, I want to change my mood and then come back to work with energetic spirit. Where can I spend a meaningful and entertaining vacation and allot time reasonably, as a result of a large amount of work everyday, I don’t have too much time to exercise during my spare time, so any good trip resort for sports, is much better, I find perth australia, almeria and so on are wonderful travel websites, also its cheap accommodation, scrumptious cuisine, kind local people should be considered. I’d like hear more opinions from you. Thanks in advance.

Well I guess a lot has to do with your budget. From what I read resorts that have lots of sports are expensive. Also you don't mention where you are coming from. If you are in New Zealand then going to Australia might be a reasonable cost. But if you are coming from Europe, Britain or the U.S. then going to Australia might be expensive. Not to mention that hotels are not that cheap either. So if money is no object then splurge!

I have a suggestion that is cheaper than Australia and meets some of your requirements. Check out Thailand! Thailand has cheaper hotels than many countries in the world. They are used to tourists, people are friendly, transportation is real cheap. There may be resorts that are sports oriented but I can't think of any. There are tons on message boards on travel to Thailand and things to do.

Hotels with air conditioning, hot water, private toilet/shower start around 600 baht for basic accomodations. Something around 1200 baht per night is not too bad! Food is pretty good in Thailand, besides Asian specialties Western foods are widely available.

You could do the tourist thing in Bangkok and head for Phuket or Pattaya and chill out for a while. Buy a cheap pedal bicycle and lose weight and get in shape too! Pattaya is cheaper than Phuket, beach is okay for sunning and hiking but for swimming go to nearby Jomtien. In the past I have used a pedal bike and walked a lot on my vacations there. I like Pattaya, that city is only a couple hours or so from Bangkok and is easy to get to for peanuts! Nightlife is interesting or you can ignore the many bars if you want to.

Depending on where you are coming from Thailand ought to be a lot cheaper than Oz.

Your first job is to find out how much you can afford per night for hotel accommodations, how much per day for food and how much per day for entertainment and miscellaneous. This is after paying for your plane tickets.

More than 50 million foreigners a year visit Spain, yet you can also travel for days and hear nothing but Spanish. That’s really a good idea to make a trip to Spain.

Sometimes I'm asked what Spanish sites are not to be missed in a visit to Spain, to which I normally respond: the Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Cordoba, etc. Funny thing is, some of the Spanish places I have the fondest memories of are not on my "must see list," things like my visit to the cave home in Guadix, the walled city of Laguardia, the Roman ruins in Merida, and the Palace of Lebrija in Seville. And tarragona and cadiz .

I recommend going to Australia. Sydney and Melbourne have lots sporting events all the time and great nightlife. If a sporting resort is what you are after I have no idea; I have never heard of such thing before. A website that you could use is tripadvisor.com. It has all sorts of resorts and maybe you look hard enough you can find some sporting resorts in Australia.
