Recent post feature

I think that the recent post feature, in ITYT 1.0, should come back. The view post since last visit is nice, but sometimes a little quirky.

Agree, it should come back.

The "top 10" feature was not native with our bulletin board software (phpBB) and was an add-on that is not compatible with the recent upgrade.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a replacement or put something together.

recent post feature

As a long time user of ITYT, I am glad to see the readdition of the "Recent Posts" button. However, I find it inconvenient that the button is at the bottom of the page. When I first log onto ITYT each and every morning, it is nice to have the recent posts button on the start page, but it can be a hassle to have to scroll down the page to locate the recent posts button on subsequent pages, whereas the forum button is located at the top.

I agree with iambri and think that Recent Post link should be included on every forum page.

It's actually at the bottom of every ITYT page, in bold. Nugget and I thought about having it at the top of each post, but thought that it would be even more convenient to have it at the bottom where it's easily accessible next to the last post in the thread.

Would it really be better to have one at the top, too?

I think so. I rarely scroll all the way to the bottom and instead stop right where the posts stop, and in new posts, many do not have replies, and do not require any scrolling.
