Astros Want to Drop Enron Field Name

HOUSTON –– The Houston Astros want to shed the name of Enron Field.

In April 1999, the Astros and Enron agreed to a $100 million, 30-year contract. The Astros said that the company has made three annual payments totaling $10.25 million and that $3.65 million is due Aug. 31.

I guess that I don't get it. If Enron paid for the name up until August 31, why should it be dropped now?

Bankruptcy or not, they've paid for a service and I don't see a reason why they shouldn't receive it.
