US AIR Frequent Flyer Miles

I have miles that I would like to us. If I book 4 tickets to Paris via USAIR and they go under, do we lose our tickets or will another airline honor them. I am new to this FF program.

A friend made a suggestion to contact Lufthansa (they are part of the Star Alliance) get a ticket to Frankfurt and then to Paris. That way if USAIR goes under we would have a ticket in hand. However,I would prefer to fly directly from Phila to Paris. We are looking at October 2005.

Anyone have any answers or suggestions?

I have an e-ticket to fly to Europe in April but am wondering what will happen if US Airways liquidates before that time or worse if they liquidate while I am abroad.
