Airport arrival time
30-60 here. I aim for 50-60 minutes, which gives me enough time to check in, make it through security, grab a drink and check ITYT at a Presidents Club, and still board with a comfortable amount of time to spare.

I always play it way too safe, but usually I don't mind hanging out in the terminal. I usually have a book or mag to read and can even amuse myself with the activity of the ground crews.
Plus, arriving too early gives me the chance to buy a $10 sandwich, a $2 bag of chips and a $3 bottle of coke. Who doesn't enjoy that?

Then again, I got to the airport 2 hours ahead of time flying out of Newark last time and made it to the gate as they were calling final boarding call. Just over an hour to check in and almost an hour to clear security.
Who says the terrorists haven't done what they were trying to do (disrupt our lives).

I would probably be tempted to cut it a lot closer if there wasn't a President's Club at my home airport. That certainly takes most of the inconvienence out of arriving too early. The AUS club pales in comparison to what you guys at EWR have, though.
