How often are you searched?

About 50% here. It was >85% earlier, but I've managed to "fit in" well enough lately that I've really been bringing the stats down.

I'd only been searched once prior, but on my last trip I got nailed on both my AUS->IAH and my IAH->RDU segments on the way out. I was a lot less cheerful and accomodating to the second set of Argenbright mouthbreathers.

It seems to go in streaks. On my ewr-atl-iah-shv trip I got stopped every time (included the super-duper search of checked bags at ewr). But most of the time it's not nearly that extreme.

I've never been searched while flying. The only time I have ever been searched was at the Canadian-US border in Niagara Falls. They pulled my car into one of those sheds, put my friend and I in a holding tank, ripped my car apart, questioned us extensively, then let us go, only after we had to put the car back together!

Airport Security

I've been searched only once so far and made a big impression with the airport security. Before heading out on my trip, I noticed that my sneakers were beginning to stink a little so I put some Dr. Scholl's Odor Destroyers deodorant powder in them. When I got searched and was asked to take my shoes off, the security guard's eyes lit when he saw the white residue on my socks... thinking I had something on me.

I get searched everytime I travel. They don't search me but my bags. I never have anything but clothes and maybe souiveners. They never check my mother's stuff. Maybe once because she had a box that appeared black under the scanner. I just expect to be searched at the airport when I go. Next time I travel...I'll just have clothing and see what happens.

Last time I got searched was 4 years ago, traveling from PA to Ohio. Shortest flight I have ever taken, and I get searched. Go figure!
