I have heard bad things about the quality of the sound from the Archos. That's really the only reason I've stayed away.

MP3 Player
Bose nose-cancelling headphones
Earbud headphones (for short or more discreet use)
Piece-of-junk Dell Inspiron 5000e notebook computer (PIII-750/384MB ram/20GB disk/802.11bWaveLAN/Ethernet/Modem) with spare battery and CD/DVD
Palm V
