Entertainment and travel costs can make up ten per cent of a company’s total operating expenses. Whilst this may be somewhat of an eyebrow raiser to you, it wouldn’t come as much of a shock to your Finance Director. The situation is not assisted by the fact that most Small and Medium sized Enterprises travel expense management is conducted through Excel based reports and reams of receipts and POs.All the work to compile daily, weekly and monthly expense claims is of course part of payroll’s daily operations too, which in itself creates delay, errors and further expense to be incurred.As a result, incorporating an automated system to manage travel expenses could streamline operations immensely, actively manage company spending, allow for more efficient decision making and ensure compliance.The argument against their introduction is clear; cost of implementation. However, whilst this could have been seen as a valid negative against such a system, this may not be the case now as software companies begin to offer service solutions at competitive prices.
Referred as SaaS, (Software as a Service), the financial benefits of such an approach are clear. Indeed, recent research has reported that take-up companies have seen a 1 per cent decrease in operating expenses. On face value, this may not seem too significant.

Hello friends
Even if we assume that there is too much money flying around in the economy, i for one have found very little to spend it on at my current lvl. There seems to be a lack of a play-driven economy especially in terms of crafted weapons and Armour so i find it hard to understand how they could decide we have too much money until we reach the stage where we have a serious crafter-lead economy and then still have 100's of spare silver in our pocket. And yes, repairs are too expensive, but i think travel is about right since it is a luxury.

I just want to say thank you for sharing with us the different ways on how to decrease travel expenses.In addition to that, if you are looking to reduce business travel costs for your company and do not have a partnership with a business travel agency now is the time to get one.
