Continental Airlines Announces Twice-Daily Nonstops From Austin and San Antonio to Its Cleveland Hub (http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/030114/datu045_1.html)

Continental's new roundtrip flights between the two Central Texas cities and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport complement existing nonstop service to the airline's Houston and New York hubs and improve access to destinations throughout the Midwest, Northeast and Canada.

Tickets are now available for travel between Cleveland and Austin, beginning April 6, 2003, and between Cleveland and San Antonio, effective May 2, 2003.

Click on the above link for the schedule for these new routes. The flights are serviced by ERJs operated by Continental Express.

With each flight right around 1200mi, that's quite a long haul in an ExpressJet. This will be the first CO ERJ service to AUS, although CLE is serviced predominately by ERJs. It's certainly quite a different aircraft than the 752s, 738s, and 739s that I fly in and out of AUS; I'll probably pass on this offer.

Continental offers "seasonal" service from SEA-CLE in July, and August, i believe. Anyway this service is operated by 737-300's. This is also a pretty small aircraft for such a long journey.

Sounds like the perfect excuse for a Cedar Point (http://www.cedarpoint.com/) mileage run! :)
