Hi all!
Have you used seatmap.com?
You can check availability, by fare class, and seats also.
I've replaced my previous tools with this one.
You can even check availability from etour (in japanese), which, sometimes, has updated information.
Have a look, and give me your opinion!

Great site!!! :D

I was sweating an upgrade on GUM to MAD via HNL and EWR on May 9th, hoping somebody would cancel GUM to EWR as the front of the bus was sold out.

After checking seatmap.com, I changed to May 8th via NRT rather than HNL and got an immediate R class upgrade. 8)

Good deal, not to mention the slightly more direct routing.

Actually, the last time I looked, Tokyo was North and West of Guam while Newark is way East.

I won't get to pick up any Kona Peaberry coffee in Honolulu but at least I'll get to watch seven hours of Japanese TV in Tokyo. :)

GUM-HNL-EWR-MAD is 12411 mi
GUM-NRT-EWR-MAD is 11926 mi

Or did I misunderstand your new routing?

My bad . . . I thought the world was flat

Ya mean besides missing the coffee I lost 485 FF miles? Bummer

I never said I was perfect.

When it comes to that sort of distance, I think that your sanity is what matters more -- even in the new businessfirst seats.

"Z0," "Z5," etc. are no brainers, no Z seats, five Z seats, etc., but what does "ZL" mean . . . Lots? Later? LOL?

L: Waiting list
A: Available (used sometimes, when there is too many seats)
C: Closed (Waiting list closed)

The seatmap feature doesn't seem to work, at least for me. I type in all the information needed (flight #, date, fare class, dep/des city, etc...) to pull up the seatmap of the flight and it says, "seatmap feature unavailable at this time. Anyone else having the same problem or is it just me?

Yep. It is not working. Hope that it is coming back!

Yet another plug for mytravelrebates.com.

Shouldn't we have a forum just for ads? :-?

(Momma always told me that something wasn't really free if you had to spend any money to get it.)

We're going to be cracking down on this kind of behavior and I apologize that it's been so annoying up until now. I've informed the user in question that spam is not acceptable and have been taking care of that activity in the past couple days.

Below ARIEL'S is a paste of mine back on 12/03. Why a member like "ARIEL" would put up the following BOGUS AND FALSE post is beyond me. Not to mention the "2030 PLUS VIEWS" you jerked around moron.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I use to use Seatmap.com and others to see what seats by what fare code were available. Now they are username/pass protected. Is there still a place to view seat availability? Even for a fee?

Thanks,
CV
