View Full Version : A5 D5 F0 Y9 H9 K7 B3 V0 Q0 S0 T0 L0
I just booked one of my flights. The int.net displayed availble fare buckets as follows: A5 D5 F0 Y9 H9 K7 B3 V0 Q0 S0 T0 L0. I could not assign a seat because all seats are occupied. I assume that exit seats and bulk head will be assigned at the airport, but still the numbers don't add up. 9+9+7+3=28 seats. 737-800 ver 2 has 21 seats in exit rows + bulkheads. Should I assume that A5D5 means 10 open seats in FC or mybe the airlines reinvented the algebra? Any ideas?

Lots of times airlines will oversell flights and depend on passengers not showing up. That is why you can give up your seat for compensation sometimes.
Sould I assume that A5D5 means 5 or 10 open seats in FC?

5. D and F are both subsets of A.
Thank you! This makes a lot of sense now!

Any suggestions as to how to see R's? Ancient [_] airline secret?

Don't know if this helps, but I booked a "B" class tonight for travel tomorrow, domestic, I am a Gold, and it was immediately re-seated for "R" online, 3F.
So I suppose R is upgrade, their pleasure...
