Greetings, ITYT Members!
I'm very proud to announce the release of ITYT 2.0. As you certainly have noticed even before reading this post, we've launched an entirely new forum interface with countless new features and a smooth new interface.
This launch represents the first significant upgrade to ITYT and has been underway for months. Not only does it include our upgraded forum software, phpBB, but a significantly more integrated web site and community interface.
Take some time to check out all the new features and feel free to offer any comments in the "ITYT Talk" forum.
Enjoy!
Daniel

Not worth an entire announcement, but we've just upgraded our forum software to a point-release which corrects a handful of minor bugs. The most noticable change you'll probably find is that it corrects all the known issues with user avatars. Now in addition to uploading an image we're able to provide a gallery of pre-defined avatar images from which a user can select an avatar quickly and easily.
In keeping with the focus of this board, the gallery is full of travel-related logos and images.
There's one minor annoyance with the avatar selection which is a bit non-intuitive. Even after you've selected your new avatar, your profile editing page will not reflect your selection until you hit "Submit" at the bottom and save your changes. Other than that bit of non-obviousness, it's working great.
Cheers!

Nugget and I developed a few new features for ITYT 2.0, some of which didn't make it in the recent upgrade, but are being brought back due to popular demand.
Statistics (http://www.ityt.com/forums/statistics.php)
You can finally compete for posting ranks again! This page has forum statistics for user postings, topic replies, and topic views.
Remember, topic statistics require quality to reach quantity. :)
Recent Activity (http://www.ityt.com/forums/recent.php)
The Recent Activity feature covers the activity of all ITYT community features. The most recent 25 forum posts, 10 contributions to the Library, and 10 gallery submissions are linked on this page.
Enjoy. Please feel free to submit any other suggestions to the ITYT Talk (http://www.ityt.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=2) forum.
Cheers.
