| China travel agency says tourism dampened by attacks
BEIJING, China (Reuters) -- China International Travel Service (CITS), the nation's biggest travel agency, lost 100 million yuan ($12 million) in revenues because of the September 11 attacks on the United States, a top official said on Monday.
__________________Some 30,000 international tourists cancelled trips booked through the agency after attacks by hijacked planes on New York and Washington, CITS chairman Li Lu'an said. "The September 11 attacks had a very strong impact on our business," he told a news conference to mark the launch of a business travel services venture with American Express.
