Delta to cut 8000 more jobs
Delta Air Lines announced Thursday it is cutting 7,000 to 8,000 more jobs to try to stem dramatic financial losses following last year’s terrorist attacks and a still sluggish economy. The No. 3 U.S. carrier reported a bigger quarterly net loss on Tuesday and painted a bleak outlook for the U.S. airline industry, mired in a historic slump driven by lower revenues and decreased demand for air travel
