Federal agents arrest 28 Phoenix airport workers

PHOENIX, (Reuters) - Federal agents Thursday arrested 28 workers who had access to secure areas at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for using phony social security information to obtain clearance, authorities said.

Agents were still looking for another five workers charged in a federal indictment made public late Thursday, said Mike Johns, a U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman in Phoenix.

The employees, who were illegal immigrants, worked for private companies that provide support services at the airport, including food service and janitorial work, Johns said. They had the security clearance for ramps, runways, aircraft, fueling and food service areas.

Yet, we as passengers have our civil rights violated by $5 an hour morons.

Yet another example of our government at "work".
