The passenger was not immediately identified and there were no details concerning his behavior on the plane -- a Boeing 757 with 183 passengers and seven crew members aboard.

No injuries were immediately reported. ``Expectations are the flight will continue,'' Messing said.

What I'm saying is that it is horrible that any idiot that acts dumb, can cause everyone on the plane to freak out, and make them divert the plane. I understand why this is done, but I would hate to have it happen to me. I mean, can't they just depressurize the cabin from 14psi to 7psi and nock everyone out. Well, maybe that's a little drastic, but, still somebody getting pissed and upset, probably because they were in the middle seat is no reason to cut a flight short.

Prosecutors to Simulate Blast in Shoe Bomber Case

Prosecutors preparing for the trial of Richard Reid, accused of trying to blow up a transatlantic flight in December with bombs in his shoes, said on Monday they planned to recreate the explosive device and set it off before the trial.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy Feeley told U.S. District Judge William Young that prosecutors wanted to use the simulation during Reid's trial to show jurors what the bomb could have done to the plane.

The man suspected of trying to blow up a trans-Atlantic flight with a bomb in his shoe told his mother that he had a duty as a Muslim to "help remove oppressive American forces," according to court documents released Thursday.

The documents also say Richard Reid "was not unassisted in his efforts to destroy Flight 63" and that he was ruled out as the source of a human hair and palm print found in the bombs.

FBI Director Robert Mueller said Monday that the FBI now believes "an al-Qaida bomb maker" constructed the shoe bomb.
