Ecuador Plane Missing with 92 People on Board

An Ecuadorean airplane with 92 people on board was declared missing on Monday after it lost contact with air traffic control on its way to the northern city of Tulcan, aviation authorities said.

The Boeing 720-100 took off from Quito's airport at 10:23 a.m. local time and traveled toward Tulcan, a city located on Ecuador's border with Colombia, the Civil Aviation Office said in a statement.
