Russian plane crashes in East Timor

A Russian cargo aircraft with a crew of six has crashed while attempting to land in thick fog on the north coast of East Timor.
The plane crashed in the mountains on its final approach to the airport at Baucau, about five kilometres ( 3 miles) from the runway.
There is no immediate word of any survivors.
