US Concludes 1999 EgyptAir Crash Fault of Co-Pilot

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. investigators have concluded that the crash of an EgyptAir jetliner more than two years ago in the Atlantic likely was due to the actions of the plane's co-pilot, not mechanical or other problems, aviation sources said on Thursday.

Sources who asked not to be named said board members wrestled over whether to conclude that El Batouty acted deliberately, and apparently left out that language from the report.

I'm glad to see that the US followed through on this and didn't kick it under the carpet to ease relations with Egypt.
