Zion National Park Utah

One of my favorite recent trips was to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, USA. The area is absolutely spectacular--the cliffs in Zion National Park tower over the canyon floor. In Bryce Canyon, the orange-sculpted rocks are eroded away from the cliffside.

In Zion National Park I think my favorite trail was Angels Landing. Its a little steep and exposed, but the view from the top is unmatched. From the top you can see the whole valley floor of Zion Canyon and the river down below. I think I heard somewhere that a guy had a heart attack on top of the summit (the trail is kind of strenuous) and had to be airlifted off a couple of years ago.

In Bryce Canyon National Park my favorite trail was the Queens Garden Trail. This trail goes in between the orange rock formations of Bryce Canyon Park. The kids really liked this trail a lot.
