AmEx and AA Agree to Web Fare Access

http://www.amrcorp.com/news/november02/21_amex.htm

Quote:
NEW YORK, NY – American Express and American Airlines announced today that they have agreed to provide American Express Corporate Travel customers in North America with access to all publicly available American Airlines fares, including Web fares. This collaboration will create a new distribution model that delivers lower airfares to American Express’ corporate customers. It will also lower distribution costs for American Airlines. The companies expect to launch the program in first quarter 2003.
I'm curious how this will play out, or make a difference at all. My company uses Amex Corp Travel, and just before this announcement I booked AUS-DFW-PHL-ORD-AUS (miraculously avoiding the dreaded F100 on PHL-ORD) on AA at an outrageous full-Y fare.

That looks like a pretty good deal. What kind of fee is your company paying for the corporate travel service?

I know that with the AmEx Plat, the $20/ticket booking fee (or whatever it is, something like that) would make any web fare savings less substantial.
