Continental Airlines Corrects News Release From American Airlines

Quote:
NEW YORK, April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL - news) today is correcting information issued by American Airlines on April 19 regarding train service to airports in the New York City area.

In a news release, American Airlines Senior V.P.- Planning Henry Joyner mischaracterized the direct train service between New York City and Newark International Airport as a ``rather convoluted train connection through Newark's Penn Station.''

In fact, the train service between New York City and Newark International Airport does not involve a connection, and is simple, fast and inexpensive. Trains departing New York City stop once at Newark Penn to discharge/board passengers and continue directly to Newark International Airport with a total scheduled time of approximately 22 minutes.
