CHICAGO (Reuters) - Continental Airlines Inc. said on Thursday it expects to post a "significant loss" in the first quarter based on negative cash flow and also sees losses for the fourth quarter and all of 2002.

In a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (news - web sites), the nation's No. 5 airline, did not say why it expects the losses for the fourth quarter or the year.
