So I was thinking, if you had any plans to do elite status matching between DL and CO, you'd better do it now. I presume that the resultant partnership will include the same "protections" against status-matching that presently exist between NW and CO.

blah. I have no enthusiasm for DL. I shudder to think how this cooperation might meld the respective FF programs of the airlines involved ![]() |

Perhaps the partnership will act as a disincentive for CO to experiment with alternate elite awards (like the "points" system they've been dancing around recently).
