When flying Continental, the boarding pass will indicate your elite status (if any) in that same spot where your OnePass number is printed. Sometimes you can get away with boarding as an elite on Northwest or America West codeshare flights just by looking serious and dressing like a frequent flyer (I did this with much success, especially on America West, prior to getting Silver). With Continental flights, though, it isn't likely to be possible. |

Right. Next to your onepass number, you would see either a "S" G" or a "P" representing Silver, Gold, or Platinum, respectively. This is an indication of your elite status if you are using your boarding pass to request mileage credit. Your status allows your bonus to be calculated correctly. On the main boarding card itself that is retained by Contintental, your elite staus is noted in full in the center, top section. I always see "GOLD ELITE" prominently printed and that's likely what the gate agents look at during boarding. Keep in mind that the same guys with elite stamped on their boarding passes are the same ones with "PRIORITY" luggage tags dangling everywhere and metal continental elite tags on their briefcases, so it's easy to distinguish an elite from the rest of the crowd.
