Pass miles between OnePass accounts

Pass miles between OnePass accounts

Quote:
Make the most of your miles with OnePass MilePass.
For a limited time, you can pass miles between OnePass accounts.

Maybe you’re just shy of attaining a OnePass reward and know a friend or relative with enough miles to cover that gap. Or, perhaps you can afford to share a portion of your miles. With the OnePass MilePass program, you can transfer OnePass miles between accounts — giving you more power to control your OnePass benefits.

From March 12 through May 31, 2002, you can transfer miles to any other OnePass account for a service charge of just $5 per 500 OnePass miles. Consolidate miles for future redemption or transfer them for immediate use. Either way, OnePass MilePass is an easy and affordable way to turn OnePass miles into exciting reward travel.

OnePass MilePass details:
  • You can transfer miles to only one account or receive miles from no more than five accounts.
  • There is no limit to the amount of miles that can be transferred to an eligible account.
  • Transfers must be made in blocks of 500 OnePass miles, with a minimum of 2,500 OnePass miles.
  • Allow one to three days for miles to be transferred — once miles are transferred, a ticket can be redeemed.
  • Miles transferred do not qualify toward Elite status.
  • Transfers are nonreversible.

No matter how you use OnePass MilePass — for giving or receiving — you’ll have the flexibility to make OnePass work even harder for you.

To transfer miles between OnePass accounts, call 1-800-554-5522. Then, simply provide your OnePass account number and PIN along with the OnePass account number to which you are transferring your miles.

OnePass MilePass is available to all current OnePass members residing in the U.S. and Canada. Members may give or receive miles, but cannot do both.

This sounds like a great deal if you're a bit shy of a reward, but probably not worth the time and money to transfer thousands of miles out of an account just to take advantage of the offer.

This sort of thing seems to come out about once a year, anyway.
