United Airlines Announces Double Miles and Travel Award Sale

(CHICAGO), October 3, 2001—United Airlines’ (NYSE: UAL) Mileage Plus Program today announced that it is offering its members the opportunity to earn double Mileage Plus miles for travel on United and United Express from October 4 through November 15, 2001.

The offer applies to Mileage Plus members worldwide who purchase and fly any published fare in any booking class. Bonus miles apply to base flight miles only and do not apply toward Premier status. In addition, United today announced a Travel Award Sale for Mileage Plus members worldwide. Members can now redeem a free round-trip economy-class ticket for travel within the 48 states, Alaska and Canada for just 15,000 miles.
