aeolian islands, sicily

We are traveling to these beautiful islands in may 2007 having discovered them 2 years ago on a trip to Sicily. As we are traveling out of high season is it possible to find b & b when we get there? Has anyone else done this? I can only find websites with week long rental for self catering or expensive hotels. As we are traveling thursday to thursday and want to cover several islands we thought one or two nights b&b over several islands would be preferable.
Any ideas out there?
