| Aircraft attacks on ground structures
Given the events of Sept 11 and other related threats, I'd like to know how difficult it really would be to have a commercial aircraft crash land into a (relatively small) structure like the white house.

It would seem that it's nearly impossible to hit them, especially at the high speeds that the 757/767s on 9/11 were flying at. I'd be curious to hear input on this from anyone with particular knowledge about the subject. (daa?) |

Before discussion gets too far along on this, I'd like to point everyone to an article on K5 and some of the consequences of scenario talk: http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2001/12/20/211923/84 Now, I'm not suggesting that any discussion along the topic at hand be curtailed, but this article has given me pause for thought on a number of occasions. |
