From January to March, in this good time, the weather is characterized by cool and light rain in the North, warm and dry temparature and humidity in the centre and the South which are special features of spring. The period between January and March also see the most colorful festivals in Vietnam, including traditional Tet festival. During Tet holidays, Hanoi city and Ho Chi Minh city are worth visiting. Before Tet, all markets are very colorful with flowers, fruits, confectionary, jams and other stuff served for Tet. If you are invited to a Vietnamese family during Tet, it could be a great ideal. You will taste some delicious traditional foods like Chung cake, boiled chicken, pickled oinons, spring rolls and others. Besides, in this time, beaches will be empty, cities will be vacant on first days of Tet so if you like quiet atmosphere and non-crowded area, you should go in this time. In total, this is a very best time to travel Vietnam with great weather, plentiful of festivals, uncrowded attractions and some best places recommended to go including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Sa Pa, Da Lat, Nha Trang.

April to June is the time tranffering from spring to summer. The temparature in the North is warmer, the centre and the south is also higher than last time. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city are quite suitable destinations to visit during April 30th- May 2nd which considered as one of long Vietnamese holiday. These cities have fewer traffic congestions than normal days, nice fresh air, perfect time to visit museums and tourist spots. Hue city in the centre is also a best place to visit because of beautiful Hue festival in May. In general, this period has fine weather, low domestic season, not many festivals but still recommended to go.

Scorching heat all over Vietnam with some thunderstorm is some features of weather from June to early September. This time records a high number of domestic tourists’ volume, crowding in beaches and mountain retreats. This seems to be not a good time to normal travelers but for sun and beach lovers, it is the best time to travel Vietnam. You can choose the beautiful beaches all through out Vietnam like Phu Quoc, Con Dao, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue and in other coastal provinces to enjoy.

From Mid September to December, it’s golden time to visit the North of Vietnam such as Hanoi, Sa Pa, Ha Long bay and other provinces nearby. As time get closer to December, temprature drops and cooler than the time before. In September, Hanoi will charm you with the beauty of the fall when Hanoi will look like romantic Paris. Late September early October is the great occasion to visit the North mountainous areas like Sapa to see the beautiful color of terraced rice paddy field ready to harvest. On the other hand, it is not best fit time for Southern part. For example, October and November are rainy months in Nha Trang and this weather can spoil your holiday with sun and beach. Overall, any time in the year could be the best time to travel Vietnam so you just simply plan what you want to experience when coming to Vietnam.
