This 8 days adventure tour ends at the top of Mount Fansipan, the 'Rooftop of Indochina'. Enjoy the colonial charms of Hanoi before meeting the Black H’mong tribe in Sapa and camping under the stars on the slopes of Mount Fansipan.

BRIEF ITINERARY :

DETAIL ITINERARY :


Day 1: Arrival Hanoi
Today is the arrival day and a transfer will be provided from the airport to Ha noi old quarter and free time on your own to explore Hanoi capital. Our guide will provide you with a welcome kit which contains all the necessary information about your journey. Free at leisure and overnight in Hanoi city

Day 2 : Hanoi City Tour – Night train to Lao Cai
Today we enjoy a half day city tour, seeing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s House. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda. We also visit the Temple of Literature and the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem with its sacred temple before continuing on to the impressive Ethnologic Museum, dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minorities, some of which we will see on our forthcoming days. The reminder of the day is free for your own exploration of Ha Noi until until at around 20:00pm, our tour guide and driver will pick up and escort you from your hotel to escort you to Hanoi Raiway Station to catch night train at 21:15pm to Lao Cai in soft sleeper class which is compartment for 4 passengers. Overnight on the train.

Day 3 : Lao Cai – Sapa – Ta Phin - Sapa
On arrive Lao Cai railway station around 6.00 am. The bus will pick you up and leave to Sapa city 1 hour) for breakfast. Check in hotel and relax.
Sapa is located at the extreme north of Vietnam, near the Chinese border. The Sapa plateau was identified in 1901 during the first topographic plotting of the area. A military post was built in 1903. Originally, Cha Pa was created for medical purposes. Its bracing climate was beneficial to westerners exhausted by a long stay in Vietnam. The military sanatorium, completed in 1913, was built on the hill on which the municipal cistern now stands.
After lunch, we trek to Ta Phin Village to meet friendly Back Hmong and Red Dao minorities, explore their famous handicrafts making and the old French catholic church, the peace grotto.
After visit Ta Phin village, we come back Sapa by jeep for dinner and free at leisure. Overnight in Sapa city.

Day 4 : Sapa - Fansipan
We start out together with our team of Black Hmong porters from Sa Pa around 9.00 am and head for the Black Hmong village of Sin Chai in the bottom of the valley. Soon thereafter the ascend starts and we will walk for about three hours before our cook serves a well prepared lunch in the forest. We continue our climb and around 4.30 pm we arrive at our campsite at approximately 2500 m. The tents are raised for your comfort and the cook is already busy preparing a well deserved dinner. It is time to enjoy the fresh air and the nocturnal sounds of nature.

Day 5 : Fansipan Trekking
Today we spend a full day trekking mountain sides. The walk is very strenuous at times so some physical preparation will enable you to maximize enjoyment from the trip. On arrival at the ridge of 2200m we stop to have lunch, stretch our legs and catch a breathtaking views over the valley of Sapa. The next stop of our trip is the peak of 2900m where will set up our tents.

Day 6 : Fansipan - Sapa
Maybe your body feels a bit busted, but a refreshing cup of coffee and some breakfast gives new energy to the descend from the mountain. After the camp has been packed down we start walking around 9.00 am. We enjoy lunch in the forest before reaching Sa Pa in the early afternoon, rushing for a cold drink and a hot shower.

Day 7 : Sapa – Lao Cai – Catch Night Train back Hanoi
Today is set aside for our relaxation, either to stay at our hotel or walk down to the local market to take some pictures. In the afternoon, we will return to the Lao Cai train station to catch the night train back to Hanoi (the train departs at 21.15). Overnight in train.

Day 8 : Hanoi Arrival - Departure
On arrival Hanoi railways station at 5.30am, we will be picked up transfer to hotel for early check in and relax. Free at leisure in Hanoi until time transfer to airport for departure or extension.

Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai by night train
Impress travel’s staff pick you up in the hotel then drive to Hanoi station for a night train to Sapa (overnight on the train, the cabin with 4 berths, soft sleeper and air-conditioning), you can book the whole cabin or you can share with 2 other persons. There are several train depart from Hanoi station between 7pm to 10pm, the journey is about 8,5 hours, the end in Lao Cai Station.

Day 1: Laocai - Sa Pa – Ta Van village – Giang Ta Chay – Seo Trung Ho ~ 6 - 7 hours trek (B, L, D)
The train arrives in Lao Cai at 6.30 a.m, Our Impress team will welcome you by your name sign. We drive up to Sapa about 50 minutes on Car / Van, you will be taken to a small guesthouse for a morning showers then your breakfast at a local restaurant here. After breakfast & short morning beak, and then taking a Car / Van ride to Tavan village of Dzay people, where we start trekking via the trail of rice terrace & bamboo forest to GiangTaChai village of the Red Dzao minority. Visit silver waterfall and suspension Rattan Bridge, and then through the forests up and down in Fanxipan range then reach Seo Trung Ho village of the Red Dzao. This is an almost untouched village and there are very few tourists getting here. In here, there is a chance to enjoy a most beautiful waterfall in Sapa, which comes from a height of about 70 m. Stay overnight in this village with a Dzao family.

Day 2: SeoTrung Ho - Ta Trung Ho - BanHo Village ~ 17 km trekking in the forests (B, L, D)
Have breakfast with the family, start climbing up to the mountain for another untouched village: Ta Trung Ho village located at about 1450m above the sea level. Picnic lunch at the village and then descend BanHo village to visit a different minority: The Tay people who have houses on stilts. Stay the night at Ban Ho village in a house on stilts. Have dinner with the family.

Day 3: Ban Ho - Thanh Phu - Nam Sai – Nam Cang – Nam Toong – Sa Pa ~3 – 4 hours trek (B, L)
Another new day traveling over and over the scenic mountains and friendly village, breakfast with the Tay people here then we will take about 3 – 4 hours trek to Thanh Phu village and back to Ban Ho at noon for our lunch. Some walk up to the main road and jeep back to Sapa, check in your hotel then you are free to explore and dinner on your own. Sleep in town of Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Ham Rong mountain - Lao Cai – Hanoi (B)
Today you are free at leisure, to visit around the town of Sapa (Dragon mount, Orchid garden, Waterfall…) or relax in town and inhale the fresh air. Leave Sapa by jeep in the late afternoon (5.30 p.m.) to Lao Cai station for our night train back to Hanoi. After 8 hours, you arrive in Hanoi station at 5.30 Am, Impress team will support you to get back your hotel in early morning.
