Well, I guess the closest thing is either the FAQ or the privacy policy. Other than that, everything is pretty much un-moderated.

I was looking for your rules on advertising within the forums. Am I correct in presuming that ads are not allowed within messages, except if placed there by ITYT itself?

That's correct. Although we have no formal published policy on activity in the forums and things are generally unmoderated, it's understood that the forums are for personal, community discussion and interaction without commercial advertising.
